Oxford Girl

Trying to take outfit shots in Oxford on a Saturday afternoon probably wasn't the best idea in the world. Regardless of the endless stares you get from passers by as you pose on the railings outside the Bodleian library, Saturdays are pretty packed with shoppers and tourists alike. Add into the mix a few showers and dark clouds and you can see why I almost gave up on getting some photos last weekend. However I am glad we tried to take a few photos because they actually turned out pretty great. It is nice living in such a photogenic city sometimes.

Although the rainy days give me an excuse to stay inside in my pjs watching "Come Dine With Me" or reading on the sofa, I am finding myself wishing for sunny days when I am not in work. I have been lucky to have a few so far but I can't wait to get to the summer. I think this wishful thinking has probably filtered through into my wardrobe as I have started to get all my spring outfits out and although I definitely need skin coloured tights, I have begun to get the legs out again. Last summer I really wasn't wanting to be in Oxford but my husband convinced me we should stay and try to build a life here. I am really glad he convinced me as we ended up having a really chilled fun summer swimming in the Thames and spending time in the countryside, so this year I am a lot more excited for the hot weather to start. But for now I will try to enjoy the spring time rain and the excuse to wear cute macs and wellies until the sun comes out again.
