Time Out

Life lately has been a bit crazy and rushed, I've had a lot of things going on which has caused me to be quite stressed and as I suffer from anxiety this is something I really hate feeling. I think part of a healthy lifestyle is knowing when to take time out and when to step away for a bit of quiet me time. I've really started to invest time in relaxing and just being me, having a chance to do the things I love like colour and read in the sun and horse ride not only helps to keep my stress levels down and benefit my anxiety but I also find it benefits my whole persona. I find that if I make a little time for relaxing each evening then I wake up feeling refreshed and ready to start the day, I am less agitated and I can be more present in the things I am doing.

Part of my goals this year was to lead a less busy life and by taking time out it allows me to slow things down a pace. I am learning that I don't have to do all those things I feel I have to, I can put a wash on tomorrow, I can send that email later and I can turn off all electrical devices by 9:30 and just sit in bed and read. Its really helped me to just breath and feel like myself again after such a stressful few weeks.

These photos were taken on a nice relaxing walk through the woods in Scotland with my boyfriend. I am currently working on another singing project and we needed to take some photos for that and I decided I wanted them really natural and so in the beautiful surroundings of Scotland on a dog walk seemed like the perfect answer.

I hope you're all taking time out to relax.

Bye for now!

  1. Beautiful foxgloves, they are very serene and summery!
What an excellent idea to turn off all electrical things at a set time! I think I may have to follow suit ^_^
Quiet time is so valuable, I really hope you feel better and it helps ease the burdens of anxiety :)

    Sending love from the South
